Velas Sudamerica 2010
Velas Sudamérica 2010
In March 2010 EUROPA will sail into new waters as we join the Velas Sudamérica. This event marks the 200th year anniversary of the first national government in South-America, a time that opened the way to independency in South-America. In this Velas Sudamerica we will be accompanied by many Tall ships and windjammers from all over the world, like the Capitan Miranda from Uruguay, the Libertad from Argentina and Tall Ships from Brazil (Cisne Branco), Chile (Esmeralda), Columbia, Mexico, India, Spain, Malaysia and Poland.
On 22nd March 2010 we will embark in Ushuaia, Argentina, for the first part of our voyage to Valparaíso in Chile where we will sail along Cape Horn. We continue our voyage via El Callao (Peru) and Guayaquil (Ecuador) to the Panama Canal. There we will leave the Velas Sudamérica and the other ships and sail up north.
