Well done guys! We've been watching you and keeping up with your progress. Today the red dot seems to have reached land! Wish we were there, a lot. Have a good few days in Ushuaia and a safe journey home, for those who are leaving Europa. Have an Arctica for us! Kathryn & Rudy kd@kdixon.de

George,
Nice to hear from you.
Sorry, but I cannot help you with it cause I was in the same situation as you. I read your article in the newspaper and I hope you can (will) send me a copy of your documentary.
with friendly regards,
Arno van Lent
Hi, I was on Europa in January-February this year, from Ushuaia to the Antarctic Peninsula and back, and just loved it. I am currently directing an HD documentary about navigation in the polar regions (including the High Canadian Arctic - I am from Canada). I am looking for a particular video shot for my film - showing the bark Europa under full sail, but from another vessel (could even by Sloopie), on the high seas. When the sails were up and the wind was down?
I recently contacted Lucy Hollis, a Bermuda-based photographer, since she has photographs on the web of Europa under full sail, but unfortunately she has no video footage.
I have footage of my own, showing the Europa at anchor in Antarctica.
I see on YouTube lots of footage of the bark under sail, taken by trainees and crew - but it all was taken onboard the Europa, i.e. looking outwards. I took a lot of footage like this myself, and the boatswain, Mike Stewart, even went up to the crowsnest for me, to shoot downwards.
So I am wondering if anyone reading this guestbook has video footage like I am describing - showing the Europa under full sail at sea?
I am willing to pay something for use, and give full credit in my film.
Best regards from Montreal

One year has passed since we boarded Europa at Montevideo harbour for a very pleasant trip to Ushuaia. An experience we'll never forget.
Not just being on board and actually allowed to participate in sailing this magnificent vessel, but also the great company of both crew and guests we met on board during our stay. We fondly remember being on white watch with Jacq (including astronomy lessons at night!), watching birds from the poopdeck, seeing Paul hammering away as the new ship's carpenter, shouting 'har! har! har!' whenever we felt was necessary (like: always!), great food from Renske, the lectures on Michiel de Ruijter by Jan and humour and great reflections on Life (with a capital L) at the bar...
Thanks for the great memories, we treasure them!
