Dear website visitors,
Many thanks for your enthusiastic reactions to our guestbook. We hope it will enable you to share your experiences of your trip on the EUROPA or get in touch again with some of your fellow travellers. Have you booked a berth on one of the future trips?
This is your opportunity to contact the other trainees that will join your trip! Please note that it is not possible for trainees sailing on board of the EUROPA to read the guestbook; they have no access to internet.
Kind regards from the EUROPA team,
Marijke Jäger - Liza de Kurver - Reinoud van der Heijden

Nicola and Philip, I arrive in Santiago around 10am on the 18th. I was planning to catch a bus to Valparaiso. When do you arrive?

Its very easy to catch a bus to Valparaison from Santiago. Catch the bus from the airport to the bus station and the buses from there the buses are every half hour.

Money Travel tip from my travel agent!
When traveling in Argentina, Chile, Bolivia and Peru make sure your U.S. greenbacks are crisp and undamaged! There may be problems while trying to exchange less than perfect dollar bills in local exchange places. Make sure the bills have no markings on them, no tears or excessive creases and wear. Also check the serial number of your bills. Most places will not accept notes starting with letters CB. Apparently there were counterfeit U.S banknotes circulating in the past in these countries.
