What a great time I had following the Europa and wishing I could have actually been there.

Hi Steven, thanks for your quick reply, good to hear from a fellow crewmember! At least I know that I will not be on my own!! Thanks for the tip-off about the video blog on 'Europa', really interesting, she looks majestic in full sail, and I am now REALLY looking forward to the adventure now...I wonder if we will look like Captain Klass after a month at sea?! Are you from Holland, I'm just guessing from your surname? Do you have any plans once we get to Salvador? I am going to do some travelling around South America after the trip on 'Europa'. I hope to meet an old school friend in Bolivia, do some volunteering and then visit a few more countries. I have very little experience of sailing though I have been on boats throughout my life. At the moment I know my bow from my stern, and port from starboard so I hope to improve my knowledge during the crossing. Well, thanks again for the message, you have just reminded me to book a flight to Gran Canaria or else I will not be going anywhere!!! NI

Good Morning! I\'ve been away from a computer for the past two weeks so I have read the logbook from Halifax today. WOW! My son, Adam Stacey, is sailing on board and he must be having the time of his life! Keep up with the wonderful stories. I can almost feel the ocean spray from my computer chair! Lee Ann

To Matthew Maples: You picture it so lively, life on board and the feeling of the ocean! I do envie you! Had the pleasure of sailing the Bark Europa twice, to Antarctica - awesome - and the crossing from the Acores to St Malo. Say hello to Klaas. He will remember me. As we were approching St Malo, I was at the helm. Lots of other Tall Ships arround. I had to change course. Klaas yelled: 'Go for the Sagres'. I yelled back :'Where do you want me to hit her, midships?' Bet you can imagine Klaas' face! Fair winds, I'll follow you all the way. Ireen.
