We are pleased to send you the latest issue of our newsletter. After the first Tall Ships Race EUROPA is placed 5th in the overall competition and 3rd in Class A. Read the website stories, results and all the latest news on the website of Sail Training International. On our website www.barkeuropa.com you can follow the ship via Google earth with a new position every hour during the Races.
We have a few last minute berths available on Lerwick – Stavanger for trainees aged 15 – 25 years. Dates 22 – 30th July. Click here if your are interested in joining.

Photo competition: Win a voucher of € 1600,- for a voyage on EUROPA
To celebrate Europa's 100th birthday we are giving away birthday presents: you could be lucky and win one of four vouchers for sailing EUROPA on a voyage of your choice!
To win all you have to do is check out your photo archives. Find the picture that best illustrates your bark EUROPA experience and send it to us.
How to enter
The competition has three categories: Ship, Nature and People. For each category you can send in 1 photo. Please send your photo’s via email to info@barkeuropa.com(max. 9 MB per email) and mention photo competition, category and your full name. The closing date for this competition is the 14th of August 2011. Rederij bark EUROPA will contact the prize winners in person. A prize giving ceremony will be held in Amsterdam on the 23rd of August. Click here for the terms& conditions.
Prizes for each category
First prize: A € 800,- voucher for a voyage on board EUROPA
Second prize: A limited edition box of seven aquarelle art-prints with bark EUROPA
Third prize: Polo shirt
One of the three category winners will be awarded the grand prize: an extra voucher of € 800,-
Birthday calendar and more….
We have asked wellknown Dutch ships illustrator and tall ship sailor Maarten Groot to produce a birthday calendar for EUROPA’s Centennial Celebration. This calendar contains seven aquarelle drawings.
These drawings will also be available later this year in a limited edition box with all seven art-prints.
You can order your birthday calendar for only € 12,50 excl. postal charges (€ 3,50 for Europe, € 6,50 for other countries)
Other additions to our small shop on board include new polo shirts, Centennial T-shirts and caps in navy blue and beige.
Block these dates for a visit of EUROPA
Are you going to be sailing on EUROPA? Or has it been a long time since you have seen the ship? Have you been planning to meet up with some of your fellow trainees? This summer you will have opportunities for a visit.
On board there will be a photo exposition of beautiful EUROPA pictures with participation of Thijs Heslenfeld and Ad Vermeulen. Furthermore we will show old and new Tall Ship films.
