In one week’s time EUROPA will celebrate her 100th birthday in Hamburg. After that, she will visit various ports in the Netherlands, where you can visit the ship.

Photographers wanted – Win a prize!
Until  August 14th, you can participate in our photo competition. The first prize is a voucher of 1600 euro to be used for a trip on board EUROPA. Check out your photo archive and send us your best pictures. For more information, click here.

Photo exposition
When the ship is open for public, there will be an exposition with pictures made by, amongst others, Thijs Heslenfeld. We are proud that EUROPA has appeared in many books and magazines. The book Cold, by Thijs Heslenfeld, Sprakeloos Landschap by Wim Bannink and the specially made birthday calendar with illustrations by Maarten Groot can be bought on board. Former crewmember Yke Reeder will be in Harlingen as well with the children’s book, De Vliegende Hollander (The Flying Dutchman), for which she made the illustrations.

Scheveningen (1e Vissershaven/Vissershavenweg)

Rotterdam (near the Veerhaven/City Centre)
Wednesday,  14th of  September (10 AM – 2 PM)
