Yeah!

Enjoying the astonishing blue-white landscape around us and thinking about nothing and everything at the same moment. Life can't be more perfect.

Sailing from Fort Point (Greenwich Island) to Hannah Point (Livingston Island) we cross the Bransfield Strait. Enjoying the astonishing blue-white landscape around us and thinking about nothing and everything at the same moment. Life can't be more perfect. Suddenly I come back to reality when I see something moving in the direction of the coast. Two fins appear above the waves. Are they what I hope they are? Is it what everybody wants? Exciting. I'll wait for the next moment... and YES.

Killer Whales at 3 o'clock. I push the red botton to make contact with the wheelhouse where captain Eric and Elskarin answer to confirm what I have seen. Hereafter the the announcement rings through the ship: Orca's on starboard! During 10 minutes or so a bunch of Gerlache Killer Whales (thank you, Jordi) are swimming around us. We had a very good view of those impressing predators. Specially when two of them swim next to the ship with full speed. The word WOW must have been invented for these kinds of moments. A tall black tail, black body with yellowish patches
on his neck and below. They circled around us, showing their skills. How gracious - and lethal. After ten minutes the show was over, leaving us behind - all satisfied. Another highlight on this voyage that is never to forget.
