The Tale of Finnigan’s Isle (sung to "Gilligan’s Island" theme song)

Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale
A tale of a fateful ship
That started from this subtropic port
Aboard this tiny ship.

The mate was a mighty sailing man
The skipper brave and sure
56 crew members set sail that day
For a 52 day tour, a 52 day tour.

The weather started getting rough
The tiny ship was tossed
If not for the courage of the fearless crew
The Europa would be lost, the Europa would be lost.

The ship set ground on the shore of this uncharted Antarctic isle
With Finnigan
The skipper, too
The millionaires and their wives
The movie star
Professor and the all of the rest
Here on Finnigan’s Isle.

So this is the tale of our castaways
They are here for a long, long time
They’ll have to make the best of things
It’s an uphill climb
The first mate and his skipper, too
Will do their very best
To make the others comfortable
In their Antarctic island nest

No phones, no lights, no motor cars
Not a single luxury
Like Robinson Crusoe
It’s primitive as can be

So join us here each week my friends
Your are sure to get a smile
 From 56 stranded castaways
Here on Finnigan’s Isle
Yeah, with Finnigan
The skipper, too
The millionaires and their wives
The movie star
Professor and all of the rest
Here on Finnigan’s Isle.
