The Rendez-Vous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta is truly the adventure of a lifetime. Sailing in the wake of the great explorers, you could be travelling 7,000 nautical miles across the Atlantic. The event celebrates the 150th anniversary of the Canadian Confederation through its founders and founding provinces, which is a unique chance to commemorate the rich history of sailing in Canada and around the world.
In addition to the host race ports, the Rendez-Vous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta will also visit a number of beautiful Canadian guest ports. The Guest Ports Programme is an opportunity to sample the hospitality of more than 31 different and beautiful Canadian guest ports in the region. Away from the high energy of racing and four-day host city festivities, it’s a chance for vessels to enjoy a pre-planned stop-over, and to take advantage of a programme of events and crew facilities which will be provided in each port.
During these stops, the Rendez-Vous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta fleet, professional crew members and novice sailors (you?!) will be able to celebrate this great milestone anniversary and sample the vast and diverse maritime heritage that Canada has to offer.
It will be a nice change after the busy port days in Quebec: to be out at sea and find the rythem of day and night on the waves. We expect to cruise the Gulf of St Lawrence in about 5 days to arrive in Corner Brook. Corner Brook is a relatively calm city in winter, but in summer - when EUROPA is there - there is lots to do. You can catch up on your fishing, walking and canoeing. There are several trails set out into the surroundings, most of them start in the middle of town.
The voyage from Quebec to Corner Brook is 8 days. We expect to 5 days at sea.Optional reservation Booking form
