Zigzagging in front of the tradewinds

Noon Position, 10 UTC:

SOG 10 knots

COGF: 345°

We are making a fine speed, zigzagging in front of the tradewinds to St Helena.

Yesterday we clocked 202 NM from noon to noon, today 200.

I the deckhouse the crew is watching Around Cape Horn, except the helmsman and a lookout an myself, who have all seen it countless times.

We wore ship in the morning, wich took some doing and a lot of time, what with the gaff-topp sail being a bit cumbersome. But tomorrow we will do better...
