Liza has been an integral part of the Bark EUROPA crew since 2007, where she manages crew logistics, flights, accommodations, and sales.
What inspired you to join the crew of Bark EUROPA, how did you join the crew?
I have always loved ships and the sea. Having worked in group-and incentive travel and tourism before, this was the perfect combination and opportunity for me.
What do you do when you are not on the ship?
I am at home in the Netherlands, living in a seatown near where the office of the company is based.
Could you tell us about a unique destination you've visited on board EUROPA and what made it special?
Antarctica of course. Being surrounded and outnumbered by nature is an amazing experience. But so is being at the sea on board the ship. A little world of its own surrounded by the sea and the elements.
What's the most memorable moment you've experienced while sailing on Bark EUROPA?
Whales swimming along with us, curious to see who we were.
What is the most important lesson you've learned from your experiences on Bark EUROPA?
How the world is full of good people open to other people and new experiences. We are all navigating the same sea on the boat we have been given.
