A natural at making everyone feel welcome, she has a special way of connecting with guests and crew alike. Since joining in 2017, Sasha has not only become known for her incredible sourdough bread and creative meals but also for her genuine care and joyful presence.

Sasha is a warm and kind crewmember with a natural talent for cooking and hospitality. At 30 years old, she brings energy and enthusiasm to her role as cooks assistant on board Bark EUROPA, where she has been a valuable member of the team since 2017. Born in Utrecht, Sasha has found her place on the open seas, the place where she finds structure and calmness that life on board the ship provides.

Known for her ever-present smile at the galley hatch, Sasha has a warm personality that makes her a favorite among guests and crew alike. She’s always interested in getting to know everyone onboard, and she has a special knack for quickly giving crewmembers a playful nickname that ends with a “-y” or “-ie.” Her kindness, combined with her ability to bring people together, and hard work, even in the most challenging weather conditions, makes her an invaluable silent force on the ship.

Sasha’s skills in the galley go beyond just her love of baking; she is also known for creating delicious meals and her openness to new ideas. Her previous own business, de Zure Bom, which highlighted forgotten vegetables, has inspired her creativity and resourcefulness in the kitchen. She’s become the go-to person for freshly baked sourdough bread, a delicious scent that will fill the ship every day.
