Drawn by the call of adventure, she decided to apply to this unique role as a Europa ship's doctor. Though new to tall ships, she’s no stranger to sailing, having spent her childhood weekends on the water, including crossings over the North Sea to the United Kingdom.
After completing her medical studies at the University of Amsterdam, Annabel gained broad experience in general practice, emergency care, and international healthcare, working in the Netherlands, Uganda, and the Caribbean.
On board, she can be found everywhere—whether it’s handling sail maneuvers, climbing aloft, cleaning, assisting guests with seasickness, and helping out during maintenance periods.
