Please welcome our Chief Engineer, Ntuthuko Mkize, better known on board as "Tuks". Originally from South Africa, he is an experienced all-round engineer with a broad background in the maritime industry.
Since beginning his career at sea, he has worked on a wide variety of vessels, including yachts, tall ships, supply vessels, passenger ships, cargo ships and oil tankers.
He joined EUROPA in 2022 and has kept things running behind the scenes ever since. As Chief Engineer, he keeps the ship’s machinery and essential systems running smoothly, from engines and generators to water, heating, and air conditioning. His role also involves maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and continually finding ways to improve the ship’s technical systems.
With his hands-on experience and versatile engineering background, Tuks helps keep EUROPA in good working order and ready for the adventures ahead!
