Sailing back in time
French Polynesia in our rear mirror… we walk backwards into the future so we can appreciate and learn from what we have done, but can look forward to what we will be doing in the next few days.
Watches begin and our sea days start.
Getting used to the timings.
Being awake at 4am and being able to watch the sun rise over the endless blue horizon.
Waiting up in the evening to try and catch the “green flash”.
Now we feel like sailors.
Now Europa is where she belongs.
Now we are able to sail our home at sea, we learn from each other and the crew.
Now we share, now we support, now it the time we experience the true meaning of being out in the wild.
We’re a long way from anyone else… but together we are whanau, family… all aboard on this great Pacific adventure.
