Respecting the oceans is at the heart of it all. We strive to increase awareness of our trainees and draw attention to the state of the oceans during our voyages. We inspire our trainees to be open to the beauty and diversity of ocean life. Through onboard lectures, collaboration with researchers and promoting environmentally friendly products, we aim for a more sustainable future.
True connection at sea
Escape the civilized world and experience the true life of a sailor during an ocean crossing or Antarctica expedition. Enjoy the simplicity and beauty of the ocean. Here, you will find tranquility, make valuable connections and discover your true self.
Research on board
During long ocean crossings, the ocean may sometimes appear as a vast empty space. Ten minutes of trawling show otherwise, revealing a world on its own. The water filled with microscopic animals can be examined through a microscope and allow us a greater appreciation for the abundance of organisms inhabiting the oceans.
Research partners
Because EUROPA crosses oceans and sails to remote locations rarely visited by other ships, she can contribute to important data related to oceanographic science, weather forecasting and climate change. We enjoy working with partners from all over the world and hope that this way we can do our part for a more sustainable future.
Climate strategy
As an organization, we strive to reduce our impact on the environment and actively contribute to a sustainable future. In order to achieve these objectives, we have put a number of concrete measures and initiatives on paper that we have already initiated in recent years and will further develop in the coming years.
