Booking form

When you’re ready to secure your spot aboard Bark EUROPA, simply complete our booking form with a few essential details about yourself. This includes basic personal and health information to ensure you are well-prepared for the unique physical demands of the voyage. 

Optional reservation

If you’re not ready to finalize your booking but have your heart set on joining Bark EUROPA, an optional reservation lets you secure your place, commitment-free, for two full weeks. This option allows you to manage your final arrangements or simply dream about your upcoming adventure, without pressure. Once you’re ready, simply confirm by sending us your booking form to make it official!

Once you’ve submitted your booking form, our team carefully reviews each detail to ensure you meet the sailor requirements and are ready for the journey. Within a few days, you’ll receive a booking confirmation and invoice, officially securing your spot. Occasionally, our team may have additional questions to clarify details, ensuring you’re fully prepared for the adventure.

Health Statement for Sailors Aged 65+

For sailors aged 65 and older, Bark EUROPA requires a health statement signed by a physician to confirm your readiness for the physical demands of the voyage. This ensures that each sailor can safely enjoy their time on board, especially during longer and more challenging expeditions. Please email your health statement to info@barkeuropa.com when booking.

Payment Options & Installments

When booking your voyage on Bark EUROPA, you can choose to pay the full amount upfront or in three installments:

  • First Installment: 30% of the fee, due within 14 days of booking
  • Second Installment: 50%, due five months before departure
  • Third Installment: 20%, due two months before departure

For your payment, you can use our secure payment link, which accepts credit cards, or opt for a bank transfer. Please remember to reference your Bark EUROPA invoice number with your payment. Keep in mind that as payments are processed manually, there may be a short delay in receiving confirmation. Only one invoice is issued, also if you chose to pay in installment payments.

How can I make a booking?

You are welcome to send in your booking form via our website as soon as you are ready for the adventure! Choose your voyage in the sailing schedule, scroll down to the date you wish to sail with us and click the 'Book now' button. You adventure is just a view clicks away!

What does an optional reservation entail?

If you are interested in a specific voyage and you cannot decide immediately or if you have to make any necessary arrangements we can block a bunk for you for two weeks. That way you will have some time to decide without the risk of losing your berth. Please let us know in which voyage you are interested and how many bunks (male or female) you would like to block and if you prefer a 2-person cabin (can only be booked by couples or duo’s) or a bunk in a 4/6-person cabin. We will contact you as soon as possible to confirm your optional reservation.

 

Are the listed prices for the entire cabin or just a bunk?

The prices listed on our website are per person for a single bunk. You have the option to book a bunk in a 4/6-person cabin or a two-person cabin. Please note that the two-person cabin can only be booked when traveling with a companion. The prices mentioned are also per person.

What can I expect regarding making the payment?

Once we’ve received your booking form, we will process your booking as soon as possible. When you’ve received a voyage confirmation and corresponding invoice, your booking is confirmed. The confirmation of your payment will not go automatically. We check our banking accounts once a week and will confirm your payment via email. Please keep in mind that it might take a while for a transfer to get through. Let us know if you have any questions about payments! The payment of your invoice can be made by bank transfer. Please state your name and invoice in the remarks. All necessary banking details are mentioned on the invoice. We do not accept credit cards or cheques. We keep the following payment conditions; these are also mentioned on the invoice:

  • 30% of the voyage fare directly after booking (within 14 days)
  • 50% of the voyage fare 5 months before embarkation
  • 20% of the voyage fare 2 months before embarkation. 
What about landing fees?

All our voyage fees are excluding landing fees. If a voyage will have additional landing fees these will be invoiced at a later stage. 
The Scotia Arc expedition has additional landing fees for the Falklands (when scheduled) and for South Georgia.
The Cape to Cape expedition has additional landing fees for Tristan da Cunha (if it is possible to land) and for South Georgia.
The Antarctica expeditions of 22 days have no additional landing fees.

Can I book for next season?

If a voyage has not been announced via the newsletter and published in our sailing schedule, it is not possible to make a booking or a down payment to secure a spot. We only accept bookings from the moment which we specified in our newsletter announcing the voyages.
