Climbing the rigging

With the harness clipped properly in, we entered the rigging, holding tight onto the shrouds. One step at the time, further up we went. For some this was as natural as climbing up a gentle slope, for others it was a challenge of managing the fear of heights. Adrenaline pumping, we focused on a steady grip of the shrouds, then out and up onto the first platform. And what a view, and an accomplishment. Holding on, we moved with the rolling of the ship, back and forth, gravity taking hold, and gravity releasing.
