Before we set sail for the Cook Islands the following morning, we invite you to come aboard, wander our decks and get a glimpse of life on a tall ship that really sails.

Wander our decks

Bark EUROPA has been crossing oceans and seas for decades, sailing to remote islands, faraway cities and Antarctica every southern summer.

Life on board is a little different from travelling on a passenger ship. Everyone who joins one of our voyages becomes part of the voyage crew. You stand watch, take the helm, help set and lower the sails and, if you want, climb the rigging. No previous sailing experience is needed; our permanent crew teaches you along the way.

During our Open Ship in Papeete, you can step aboard and see this world for yourself.

Walk the decks, look up into the rigging, meet our crew and discover where our voyage crew eat, sleep and spend their days at sea. We'll tell you more about sailing EUROPA, life during an ocean crossing and the science and research that travel with us across the world's oceans.

And perhaps, standing on deck, you'll start wondering what it would be like to sail away with us.
