Whales

04.00 Arriving on watch after a heavy night of birthday cake celebrations we swiftly manoeuvred the ship around stormy skies. 06.39 Ship dog Sirius barked the alert to the starboard side of Europa, communicating to the captain that large sea beasties, 10 strong pod of pilot whales were approaching the ship. They sang sea shanties with beautiful whistles and stayed to circle us for twenty minutes and left us just in time for breakfast………..and the day has just started.
