For many of us, the sight of the Europa lying alongside the container and fishing pier at Montevideo was a relieve after been flying long distances to get here, the city capital of Uruguay.

The Bark Europa was moored in the huge port, that takes most of the city seashore, but not far from the old city centre. The amazingly busy working-port was home of several fishing ships of any kind and nationality, together with huge cargo vessels, with all the port non stop operations running around them all the time. Europa was looking pretty and elegant amongst them.
